Brainiac is a megalomaniacal genius from the planet Colu and an overarching antagonist of the Injustice 2 comics.

Braniac is first seen, having chanced upon a small fight between Superboy, Wonder Girl and a Red Lantern. While the Red Lantern is killed by the Betas, Superboy and Wonder Girl are forced to enter his ship after their oxygen masks are destroyed.
Though he sees no interest in Wonder Girl, he is fascinated and disgusted by Superboy, recognizing his mantle and his heart to be Kryptonian albeit the latter originally belonging to someone else, but only being manufactured rather than being a natural being. Nonetheless, Braniac is able to tell that Superboy had come from Earth, where one of the drones sent had been destroyed.
Remembering previous rumours about a Kryptonian surviving the planet's destruction, Braniac deduces that he is likely at Earth, and decides to visit the planet himself to investigate. With no more information to gather, Braniac shoots Superboy into the space and leaves him to suffocate in the vacuum.
